Plum Sauce

May 20 , 2013
  • 6 lbs egg plums
  • 3 pints vinegar
  • 1 tblsp salt
  • 1 tblsp cloves
  • 1 lb onions
  • 3 lbs sugar
  • 1 tsp cayenne
  • 1 tblsp spice
  • 1 tblsp whole ginger (bruised)

Boil all ingredients together for one hour, then strain through a colander, and bottle when cold.
